Story Time at Brown's Orchards

Peach Weekend at Brown's Orchard

On Saturday August 18, 2012 from 10am-2pm celebrate Peach Weekend with Brown's Orchard.  Join in on a peach pie-eating contest, enjoy face-painting, kids crafts, games, visit with pigs and enjoy some BBQ with the family.  Peach season is ending soon so this is a great end of summer activity for everyone!

Kids Celebrate Spring at Brown's Orchards

Brown's Orchards in Loganville is hosting Kids Celebrate Spring on Saturday May 19, 2012 from 10am-2pm.  Jacobus Library will be there to accept registration for their summer reading program and at 11am registered children will participate in a spelling bee.  There will also be face-painting, crafts, activities and kids can visit with Bob's Critters and Blossom. 

At 2pm Jazz band Time Out and Inspire Studio of the Arts will be performing in the pavillion. 

The Easter Bunny at Brown's Orchards

The Easter Bunny will be visiting Brown's Orchards and Farm Markets in Loganville, PA every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 11am-1pm from now until Saturday, April 7, 2012.

Visit Santa at Brown's Orchard

You can visit with Santa this weekend at Brown's Orchard! 
On Saturday November 26, 2011 from 10am-2pm visit Santa at Brown's Orchard in Emigsville in the Winter Wonderland.
On Sunday November 27, 2011 from 11am-4pm visit with Santa at Brown's Orchard in Loganville in the new Santa's Workshop.

Fall Fest at Brown's Orchards

On Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9 Brown's Orchards North (Emigsville location) will be having their Fall Fest from 10am-3pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sunday.  Brown's is offering free and low-cost entertainment including hayrides, pumpkin decorating, straw bale mountain, straw bale maze, alpacas, helicopter, firetrucks, food, games and activities, Critter Caravan (Sunday) and more.  Wristbands area available for $5 for certain games/activities for kids. 
We went to this event last year and had a blast painting pumpkins, playing on the straw mountain and racing through the maze.  This year's ad didn't mention the PNAIA Pow Wow, which was really fun too.  It's very family-friendly but avoid bringing your strollers because it was a pain to get around the rocky areas but it is possible if you must.

Kids Fall Day at Brown's Orchards

On Saturday October 1, 2011 Brown's Orchard is having Kids Fall Day at the Loganville location from 10am-2pm.  Brown's will be offering hayrides, pick your own apples, face painting, make your own scarecrow, games, food, alpacas and live music from 2-4.  Some things are free and some are low-cost activities.

Honey Bee Festival

Brown's Orchard (North) is having a Honey Bee Festival on Saturday May 14, 2011 from 10am-4pm and Sunday May 15, 2011 from 11am-4pm. For only $5 per child (under 2 is free) they can enjoy crafts, games, straw maze & mountain, live bee demo, Queen Bee parade, story-telling, alpacas, firetrucks, helicoptor and more. They also have the opportunity to meet the new mascot, Blossom!

Dinosaur Day at Brown's Orchard (North- Emigsville)

Visit Brown's Orchard (Emigsville store) Saturday, February 26th from 11AM-3PM for Dinosaur Day!
This will be a day full of dinosaur activities, sorytelling, fossil dig, dinosaur balloon animals, crafts and more!  Listen to Author Mike Sgrignoli and his son, Ethan read from their new book, Dinorific Poetry.  Brown's will also be serving Dino-themed lunch specials. 


Some activities can be done for a small fee, others are free.

Brown's Story Time (Emigsville)

On Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 10AM-11AM Brown's North (Emigsville) is having story and craft time for kids in the Greenhouse. Since it's a weekday this would be for kids under 5.
The story will be The Mitten and the cost is $5 per child.

Brown's Farm Market and Garden Center Fall Fest

Join Brown's this weekend, October 2 and 3 from 11a.m.-3p.m. at their Emigsville location for a family fall festival. 

For a $5 wristband kids can play all day.  Games and activities include a straw bale mountain and maze, moonbounce, face painting, pumpkin painting ($1 for a pumpkin) and a 4-H petting zoo (Sunday only).  

There are also $2 wagon rides.  

Tons of delicious Fall food will be for sale (sweet potato soup and apple cider- YUM!) and free musical entertainment will be available both days.

Brown's Orchard Cooking Demo for Kids

Friday 7/23/10 at 10am at Brown's South, Loganville in the Brown Bean Cafe is offering  a Kid’s Class :  Make Your Own Pizza (ages 5-12)

Limited space so please pre-register by calling 717-428-2036.

Cost is $15.  The class will last until approximately 11:15am.

Kids pick their own toppings and make a savory pizza and a dessert pizza (to eat or take home). They will be making the pizza dough and learning about yeast. Steps to make any kind of pizza and recipes are included.

$15 for a lifetime of knowledge (and the ability to make pizza on pizza night instead of ordering potentially poor quality pizza!) is a pretty good deal!  Limited space- they are only accepting 10 children.  Hopefully if it's successful they will have more of these in the future.
