The Great Kindness Challenge, Saturday August 14, 2010

The Great Kindness Challenge, presented by Kids for Peace will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010.  This is a WORLDWIDE event!!  The purpose of the Great Kindness Challenge is to promote acts of service and kindness all over the world.  Of course, this should be done EVERY day but this is a day to celebrate and support it by completing as many acts as possible.

To make this extra fun the website, The Great Kindness Challenge has provided a checklist of 50 activities that you and your family can complete on Saturday.  You can complete many of them during your regular routine, whether you stay at home or spend the day out and about.

Some examples of kind acts from the checklist are painting a picture to give to someone, calling your grandparents, donating to an animal shelter (this can be free- take over your old blankets and towels instead of throwing them away and you'll be recycling too!), pick up some trash, feed the birds...there is SO much to do and even the little things count.

Download and print out a copy for everyone in your family and challenge yourselves to spread the kindness on August 14th! When you're done you can share your activities with their community via their Facebook Page or e-mail them at info@greatkindnesschallenge.org
