York Township's 2012 Fall Fun Fest

The York Township 2012 Fall Fun Fest will be held at the York Township Municipal Building on Saturday October 20, 2012 from 9am-2pm. 

The 2012 Fall Fun Fest will offer a craft show, touch-a-truck, bounce house, music, food and more. 

Stauffers of Kissel Hill 2012 Fall Festival

 LOOKING FOR THE 2013 STAUFFERS OF KISSEL HILL FALL FESTIVAL?

Every year Stauffers of Kissel Hill has a Fall Festival at both York-area locations.  The year, the Stauffers 2012 Fall Festival will be held Saturday September 29, 2012-Sunday September 30, 2012 and Saturday October 6, 2012-Sunday October 7, 2012 from 10am-3pm each day. 

The Stauffers of Kissel Hill Fall Festival offers mostly free Autumn activities for families with kids of all ages. 

Saturday and Sunday activities at the Dover and East York locations include:

Build a scarecrow for a fee (it's around $10-15).  Free straw maze, pumpkin bowling, corn box, face-painting, make and take pasta necklace, mini golf plus they have many areas perfect for a family photo, so be sure to bring your camera!  This year the flier also mentions that there is FREE pumpkin painting.  Prior years that we've visited it was free to paint, but you had to buy a pumpkin.  This year it says pumpkins sponsored by Metro Bank.  It's normally under $3 for a good-sized pumpkin so either way it's a good deal!

Story Time at Brown's Orchards

On Thursday September 13, 2012 at 9:30am you and your child may enjoy story time with Mary Brown at Brown's Orchards.  This is a weekly event with different themes every week.  Sept. 13's theme is School and Friendship.

Bats Demystified at Nixon Park

Learn all about bats during the Bats Demystified informational session at Nixon Park on Sunday August 26, 2012 from 2:30-4pm.  A park volunteer will share facts and dismiss myths about the night flyers.  There is no fee nor registration required.

Family Morning Discovery Walk at the Heritage Rail Trail, New Freedom Train Station

The Family Morning Discovery Walk will be held on Thursday August 16, 2012 from 10:00-11:30am at the Heritage Rail Trail, New Freedom Station.  Children and their adults can join park staff for a nature exploration, looking at habitats, plants and animals of the Heritage Rail Trail park.  There is no fee but call  428-1961 to register. 

Peach Weekend at Brown's Orchard

On Saturday August 18, 2012 from 10am-2pm celebrate Peach Weekend with Brown's Orchard.  Join in on a peach pie-eating contest, enjoy face-painting, kids crafts, games, visit with pigs and enjoy some BBQ with the family.  Peach season is ending soon so this is a great end of summer activity for everyone!

Free Concert at Fairmount Park

Red Lion Zion Church is holding a FREE Concert at Fairmount Park
(behind Kaltreider-Benfer Library) on Sunday August 12, 2012 from 5-7pm.  Live music will be by The Delta Road String Band and food will be for sale.  Bring your lawn chair or a blanket.

Happening the week of August 12, 2012:

August 1-31, 2012: Kids Bowl Free is still running through August.  Check your local bowling alley for specific end dates.
 
Sunday August 12, 2012: The Dover Community Park in Dover, PA is hosting a free Summer Concert Series once per month on Sundays from now until September 2012. Money raised from food and other vendors will go to various non-profits in Dover's community.  The band on Sunday (from 6-8 pm) is Tall in the Saddle.  The Dover Community Park is located at 2481 W. Canal Rd. Dover, PA 17315
If the weather is bad the concerts will be held at the Community Building at 3700 Davidsburg Rd.

Tuesday August 14, 2012-Saturday August 18, 2012: The Dallastown Carnival offers live entertainment, food, rides with wristbands available daily, games, raffles and lots of family fun.  The Dallastown Community Park is located behind the Fire House that is on 50 S. School Place.
